CEO and founder Anders Tamsen, M.D., Ph.D., has worked in clinical medicine for 14 years and in the pharma industry for more than 25 years.
In 1995 he founded SEDOC Pharmaceutical Medicine, a clinical CRO company in Stockholm, Sweden. SEDOCerved international pharma companies for twelve years and was sold to Vita Nova Ventures in 2007. The next year Anders started Arandi Development and has since transformed this company into a project development and a ' search, develop & commercialize' venture.
Anders has held managerial positions in the clinical departments at Astra (now Astrazeneca), Pharmacia Hospital Care (now Pfizer), and at the Medical Products Agency of Sweden.
Before moving to industry, Anders was a clinical anaesthesiologist and university teacher for 14 years. He is an associate professor of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at Uppsala University.
Chairman and co-founder Pirkko Sulila Tamsen, Ph.D., is the
CEO of NovaSaid and Dilaforette, two life science companies owned by Karolinska Development (NasdaqOMX Stockholm).
From 1999 to 2008 Pirkko held managerial positions at SEDOC Pharmaceutical Medicine, building the clinical team and developing the business from the ground up. She was CEO of SEDOC Pharmaceutical Medicine from 2003 until 2007 before going on to Karolinska Development in 2008.
From 1993 to 1999 she was clinical research manager and international project manager at Astra (now Astrazeneca) in Södertälje, Sweden.
Pirkko has a PhD degree in Physiology from Uppsala University.
