CEO and founder Anders Tamsen, M.D., Ph.D., has worked in the pharma industry for 25 years. In 1995 he founded the clinical CRO company SEDOC Pharmaceutical Medicine in Stockholm, Sweden.
SEDOC was sold in 2007. The following year Anders started Arandi Development and has since transformed this company from a consultancy service for International and Swedish pharma companies into a project development organisation.
Anders held managerial positions in the clinical departments at Astra (now Astrazeneca), Pharmacia Hospital Care (now Pfizer), and the Medical Products Agency of Sweden.
Before moving to industry, Anders was a clinical anaesthesiologist and university teacher for 14 years. He is an associate professor of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at Uppsala University.
Chairman and co-founder Pirkko Sulila Tamsen, Ph.D., is the
CEO of NovaSaid and Dilaforette, two biotech comnpanies owned
by Karolinska Development (NasdaqOMX Stockholm).
From 1999 to 2008 Pirkko held managerial positions at SEDOC Pharmaceutical Medicine, building the clinical team and developing the business from the ground up. She was CEO of SEDOC Pharmaceutical Medicine from 2003 until 2007.
In 1989 Pirkko started in the pre-clinical department of Kabi Pharmacia (later Pharmacia Cardiovascular) but soon switched to clinical R&D. From 1993 to 1999 she was clinical research manager and international project manager at Astra (now Astrazeneca) in Södertälje, Sweden.
Pirkko has a PhD degree in Physiology from Uppsala University.
